Sam Walton once said, “There will come a time when big opportunities will be presented to you, and you’ve got to be in a position to take advantage of them.” Such opportunities comes not so often and sometimes they come in subtle ways or as bright as the day light.
In this fast world that we live in, the probability of missing on those opportunity is so high that we regret so much when we look back and realized what has just traversed our path. We are left with wishful thinking that such opportunity comes around so we can grab it right away. Sadly, that similar opportunity isn’t coming anytime soon or not all.
I for one has experienced such scenarios that I sometime hate myself for not recognizing the signs – big bright ones – pointing to that opportunity. There was love opportunity, travel opportunity, education opportunity, and career opportunity. I am sure you have also, one way or another, experienced this misfortune.
Recently, another opportunity knocked on my door and this time I told myself not to let this get away again without even trying. You see, the biggest obstacle on my part is the big H — hesitancy. But this time that big H was replaced by the big D — decisiveness. After reading a blog that somehow popped on my screen while chatting with a friend, I ventured to a territory that I was not so familiar about. Leap of faith is what I commonly described it with my friends.
The Big H raced when I was reading the article and even revved up when I was about to grab the opportunity and begins to sign up but the Big D was there and can’t be denied this time. “This is it! I will take advantage of this subtle sign and see what happens next,” was my battle cry of sort.
I am at my fifth month on this venture that I am about to share to you and so far, those five months have been rewarding in terms of financial gains.
I only wish my love opportunity comes anytime soon.
Now it’s up to you if your Big H or Big D acts on this. Pay it forward, like I did, if Big D prevails.
